You’ve heard about PPC and you’re curious to learn more about it? PPC, also known as pay-per-click advertising is a form of online advertising that involves driving traffic to websites for a price. One of the most popular forms of PPC advertising involves the advertiser using search engines such as Google or Bing to publish their adverts and when one of these adverts is clicked on the advertiser must pay a small fee to the search engine. There are two types of search engine traffic – organic listings and paid for (PPC) listings. The paid for listings are usually placed at the top or right hand side of the search page.
The advertiser, after having done research, will know what the best keywords are in order to drive traffic to their website. These keywords,when searched for, will trigger an advert to show. The relevant advert copy will then persuade the viewer to click on the advert and this will hopefully result in a sale.
